Distress beacon sMRT AU11
The sMRT AU11 is a commercial-grade Maritime Survivor Locating Device (MSLD) that combines advanced AIS, VHF DSC, and 121.5MHz technology for enhanced localised alerting, tracking, and recovery. Its water-activation technology and audible and visual indicators, ensure rapid and efficient man overboard (MOB) recovery. The device’s increased signalling range and Class M compliance guarantee reliable tracking over extended distances, making it highly effective in man-overboard incidents.
Automatic activation alerts you to every MOB incident within 2-5 seconds, with GPS positions updated every minute via AIS. This ensures that you and every nearby vessel can become instant SAR assets, capable of tracking multiple casualties, significantly enhancing safety and effectiveness during emergencies.
The sMRT AU11 AIS DSC MSLD offers an advanced man-overboard solution with AIS, VHF DSC, and 121.5 MHz technologies in a compact, durable design. It prioritises user-friendliness without compromising functionality or reliability, making it ready for immediate deployment.
A key feature of the sMRT AU11 is its water-activation technology. The integrated water sensors ensure activation upon immersion, automatically sending a distress alert and MOB location. This feature, along with manual activation, ensures the device operates effectively even in challenging conditions.
Designed for tough marine environments, the sMRT AU11 is housed in a rugged casing ensuring durability and resilience.
The sMRT AU11 also includes an internal DSC receiver to receive and display DSC acknowledgements. It complies with the 2024 ECC Class M requirements for man-overboard devices, meeting current industry standards and anticipating future safety needs.
